"Great price, great location. Yes it's old, but it has so much character. If your looking for a 5 star stay at this price point your the problem. My only critique would be the linen and towels need replacing. They need a freshen up. Then this would be 5 stars all round from me. "

"The surface of the dining room table was not very good. The surface was sticky, as if the surface had gone off and the glue was coming through. Did not clean up. Also the WIFI was terrible, I missed 2 nights of my favourite shows as I couldn't connect to streaming services. The room was quiet though and the bed very comfy."

"This guest house is like a hostel in many ways but with the creative use of one lot not a huge property as I thought it would be. We had booked a tent experience which is a screen tent, holding a bed, night tables, lamp and fan, below a roof and side walls. Our unit had a whole side section about 6ft without a barrier so we could see to the next tent, wooden slats around the tent are not together which lets air flow in but gives little privacy. "Such a lovely relaxing stay at spicers. It’s very quiet and feels very secluded in a little garden setting. We had two fantastic meals at the Long Apron and the staff were warm and welcoming. Only minor disappointment was that there was no balcony to our room, so nowhere to sit for our morning coffee. Other than that everything was delightful. "

"We were greeted by the very friendly Russ when we arrived, who immediately showed us around the property and explained how to use the tv remotes/other things in the unit. The room was surprisingly spacious and had plenty of complimentary food and snacks. The property itself has a lovely garden, with croquet, finska and badminton, as well as a path to a bit of a bush walk. "Not the best kept place I've stayed at. Empty bottles & cans strewn around bin, old, manky outdoor furniture. Shared toilet could be cleaner. Room a bit musty. Outdoor dining facilities aren't too bad. A bit overpriced for what's delivered."

"We had a pleasant stay here. This was a just a one night overnight stay and it did what it said on the tin. The owner of the hotel was most informative. This hotel is almost at the top of the hill and there is some fabulous views."

"Highview is a quiet property but still close to the center. The kitchen has everything you could possibly wish for and my family and me very much enjoyed staying there. It's very spacious, so everyone can be in their own room or we can all hang out in the living room, enjoy the free Netflix and spend time together. We had an amazing time, Gina was very helpful regarding recommendations for dinner and what to do in the area. Will definitely come back! "
