"Room was dated but clean and very spacious. Hotel itself is big my children enjoyed staying here. Lady on reception was very helpful for check in and when we asked questions. We also managed to get a later check out with price being very reasonable. We didnt get breakfast as hotel was too busy."

"It was our first overnight stay here and we were pleasantly pleased how conveniently located it was to the centre. Tea, coffee and sugar provided, a very comfortable double bed which was spotlessly clean and fresh and everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Car parking is directly opposite. "

"The hotel was well located to the centre of town and the main railway station. The staff were excellent and very accommodation with baggage storage and a room change we had to make. Unfortunately one of their guests on Jan 20th smoked Marijuana and the ground stairs lobby and lift stank of the smoke. Shame because of this i could only give them 3 stars."

"I wasn't sure what to expect before I arrived at the Derby Arms but the initial greeting was warm and sincere. My room was delightful, clean and well appointed with a good sized bathroom with both a bath and a choice of shower heads. For both nights I ate in the restaurant and was served by a charming and efficient waitress. "After going through the front gate that should have locked I came by a dumpster full of stinking garbage. The small courtyard was filthy. The stairs going up to the rooms needed a good cleaning and refurbishing. After opening the door to the room I was surprised how small it was, 8’x8’? The shared bathroom, toilet paperless, was dingy and poorly lit. Some photoshop trickery must have been used for the pics of the place.
