"Great people (especially greeting outside and send off— STAFF COULD NOT BE WARMER! :) - Room: closet light broken so couldn’t see clothes and step up into room meant room service drop off and pick up was a bigger deal than it should have been if the roll-in cart could have would have been able to be used - overall, I would stay again based on staff, grand dame hotel and location"

"Excellent Customer Service from Front Lobby personnel. It is a Clean older hotel one block from Union Square. I had a very small room w comfortable full size bed on 5th floor. Reminded me of a college single dorm room. Many European guests. NICE Heated Pool with nice Foliage. No restaurant onsite but many many diners, including Jack in the Box, Cheesecake Factory, and Hinodeya Ramen place nearby"

"Riu plaza hotel is a nice hotel. It's a nice hotel walkable to a lot of good places to eat shop and sightseeing. The Pier 39, embarcadero and many other beautiful establishments are just a walk away from the hotel. The front desk staff were nice, and the concierge were a great help. The breakfast buffet was good and well organized. They have a good system, the staff were quick and moved efficiently. Best of all the food was great with great choices."
