"The room was clean and the front desk representatives were nice. However, the room was expensive and we paid more for access to a courtyard and view only for the door to be stuck and unable to open so we couldn't enjoy that. The shower in the room also clogged. "The hotel is historic and offers spectacular views of the Savannah River. The lobby and the open flights of stairs down to River Street are memorable. My only criticisms is the failure of the reception staff to inform me of the $32 “destination fee” at check in and the remodeling of the bathroom in our room does not reflect and failed to preserve the original character and features of our room.
