"Here’s the good stuff: location is great. Absolutely terrific.
The rest of the story: housekeeping did not refill toiletries despite repeated visits to the front desk. Our “upgraded“ room turned out to not be upgraded, and was loud all night because of the elevators it was up against. At check-in, the front desk clerk told us she would text us when our room was ready. Hours later, with no text received, we went back to the front desk where they told us, “your room has been ready for hours.”
The view we were supposed to have with the reservation turned out to be nonexistent. The room was somewhat worn and battered, and the clown who installed toiletry pumps in the shower put them on the wrong wall. The breakfast restaurant was overpriced and underwhelming.
I could go on and on. Nothing made the place a dump, but for a four-star hotel that charges premium prices, you should expect much more than the mediocre effort they put into taking care of customers.
Let’s be clear: you are paying premium prices for location, location, location. Don’t expect more.
