"Fabulous refurb, stayed here about 12 years ago the transformation is absolutely lovely! Stayed in a standard room, which is on the small size but beautifully decorated with everything you need. Particularly liked the L'Occitane toiletries in the stylish bathrooms. "This was a beautiful hotel! It is a historic building so it has it’s quirks but it was neat to stay here! The staff was friendly and this one included the free breakfast. "one of the best hotel room, i have ever stayed. the lobby is nice, the room is huge and even nicer. they refill the water, but towards the end of our stay, they no longer refill the snack. otherwise the room is nice as per picture, bonus it is just 3 mins walk from the train station, so if your journey is late at night, this hotel is just close by to the train station and royal mile."
