"Great location but room was mediocre & toilet barely worked. Also there was no AC so it was incredibly hot, even with window open."

"Fantastic location with 11 acres, river in grounds and Abbey ruins next door. Had dinner in restaurant which was excellent as was breakfast the next day. Used as a stop off for one night from Aberdeenshire to the midlands and same price as well known hotel chains. An issue with bed on arrival but sorted out by receptionist promptly."

"Lovely stay. Our room had previously been the old public bar, so was huge! Decor was a little tired and could do with a refresh (especially the bathroom - such a wasted opportunity not to put a bigger bath in there)! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious - such a treat to have kippers, being on a ban at home for them! Would recommend and definitely stay again!"

"An old fashioned hotel with a fabulous brealfast in the old dining room. Lots of open fires. Unforunately the hotel is built over several levels with lots of creaking stairs . You will need help with your lugguage and it was provided. Hotel can be a bit noisy with the pub across the road and nearby construction. Safety handrails would be useful for getting out of the shower/bath."

"Only stayed here for one night at the end of our trip but was a great experience. Got an upgrade to the house and it was beautiful. Restaurant was also very nice. Short drive to downtown and the airport, best of both worlds."
