Colin and Lisa were superb and friendly hosts and the stay was not only comfortable and clean, but also aesthetically pleasing. The breakfasts were well prepared according to taste. We were delighted with our two nights' stay there and will hopefully return soon.

Friendly hotel with Colin and Lisa the most helpful and kind people you could hope to meet. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. Catered for my missus who has lots of requirements. Cosy, clean and spacious room. Could wish for any more.

Excellent stay

Really enjoyed staying here. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a cozy home type of feel. The owners are very nice and very helpful. The location is a very good place in town and the owners helped us with recommendations for places to visit and where to eat.

Cycling and walking trip to the scottish borders

Great location, handy for shops and restaurants and also handy for cycling the 4 abbeys way and/or walking part of the St Cuthberts Way or nearby Pennine Way. Room and Hotel in general was very clean and the proprietors were very welcoming and helpful. WE would stay here again.

Noisy neighbours

Unfortunately the pub next door had live music until 1am and constant passing customers which kept us awake until 1am. Apart from that the b&b is very clean and offers a delicious breakfast with friendly helpful owners.

Warm and welcoming

A very, very nice B&B. Could not fault anything. Lisa and Colin welcoming and genuine. Room very nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect! catered for a gluten free diet without fuss. And the coffee was top quality. Attention to detail made the breakfast a very nice experience. Would be more than happy to recommend this B&B to anyone.
