Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent shower but
No grab rail in the shower to prevent slipping
Breakfast very good .Dinner ok but limited choice menu
Staff very friendly and helpful
Reception was warm & friendly. Restaurant service and food was good. Bedroom was slightly cool in middle of the night but not enough to spoil my stay. I will stay there again.
The dinner menu was poor, with only a few items in both
the Starter and Main menu being what one might expect.
Overall the dinner and drinks prices for what was available
were on the high side especially for the time of year.If the
hotel wants to attract more customers during the quiet times offer a down to earth package including food and drinks.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Great location for a walk along the River Tweed and grounds with various attractions to visit. Great to recharge your batteries and chill.
The hotel itself is beautiful and my room overlooked the River Tweed…. Scenery is unbelievable and the view from the window could be on a postcard.
The hotel was fairly clean, some of the decor is a little tired, but it’s an old building and modern fixtures or decoration would ruin it.
The bed and pillows weren’t great, my advice would be to invest in new mattresses and supportive pillows… it was the only negative but a nights sleep is important.
The food in the restaurant was lovely and the bar/wait staff were very accommodating and pleasant.
I would definitely stay again and would like to come back for a short break so I can enjoy the local area, rather than rushing off to meet customers.
