"Staff were very friendly; helpful in providing information about the area. Amenities were mentionable with free mini bar and snacks; Dyson hair dryer; hair straightener and steamer. Bed was comfortable. 7th floor Nor Loft for overlooking the city!"

"Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was extremely quiet despite being near a large mall. The kitchenette was useful, especially for breakfast. Heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. Location was perfect-close to tourist sites and train station but a short distance away from the busier areas. Room 719 had a nice view."

"Very well located, spacious and well kept. Unfortunately they put us in a room right at the entrance of their second building in our first night. Our bed was right in front of the main door, so anyone could see us and we could hear every one that was coming in + the cleaning team at 6am next morning. Also the air conditioning was not working. Next day they moved us to a far better room that I believe should better reflect their standards. Make sure you don’t get that 1st family room!"

"The staff went above and beyond!!! The room was very clean. We ordered a burger one night, another night the charcuterie board..EXCELLENT!!! Both recommended by the staff. Then our bartender made us fabulous drinks to include a stamped 1816 cube for my whiskey. Beautiful craftsmanship in his drinks. "Excellent location by Hollyrood Palace. Well equipped kitchen. Larger bathroom than most of our lodgings. Although space was limited for 3 people, it worked. Two of us used a large bathtub in a room adjacent to the bathroom to organize luggage. Excellent king bed."

"We stayed in the deluxe 2 bedroom unit and it was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms had black out curtains. I sent a message in advance asking for the beds in one of the rooms to be separated and they were each made with their own duvet and bedding, which we really appreciated (they were separated a couple of inches which was sufficient for us). We arrived around 12:30 and were able to store our bags at the The Scotsman Hotel. I sent a message asking if the unit was...

"An historic building, convenient to everything on the Royal Mile. Also its lower level entry is super convenient to arrival from the train station, literally across an uncrowded Market Street. Wonderful rooms with sunlight, tastefully appointed. The timely limited access will soon be fixed by a second elevator being installed in the hotel. The staff was always helpful (though the laundry lost two of my dress shirts). I enjoyed my stay immensely."
