"This is my go-to in San Francisco, for five reasons: 1) The lobby restaurant is pretty good and the snack bar is excellent. 2) I get rooms with balconies where I can vape. 3) Just outside the door is Philz Coffee, best of the coffee chains IMO. 4) The Embarcadero food and farmer's market scene. 5) And the views. The beds are good. The shower is the best of a bad situation. I dislike bath/shower combos with shower curtains. Here they've done the best they can by installing upgraded shower...

"I did not enjoy my stay here. In my room, the TV turned on on its own at about 3:30 in the morning both the nights I stayed. Ruining my sleep. The water pressure should not even be called water pressure because it was a drizzle. The rooms were dilapidated. Cabinets hanging faucets, breaking. The showerhead hair all in it. I will not be returning to this hotel."

We stayed here so we could relax in a jacuzzi and the pool and our confirmation said we had that available, yet we get there and learn that the pool and jacuzzi are under construction and unavailable. My room was fumigated without prior notice so when I came back that Night my Door was slightly open, needless to say I was surprised and escarde to find my Door unlock. "This hotel is lovely! It has someone outside always ready to greet you, which is really a nice touch. The room was nice, no coffee or tea in the room, but free tea and coffee downstairs until 10:30am. Location is amazing, it is two blocks from Fishermans’s Wharf, so you can easily walk to all the action.
