I love the quirky design style of the property and the soaking tub in the suite I stayed in! Beds were comfy. The shower door was broken and the toilet handle wasn't working properly so the toilet sometimes ran for long periods of time. The surrounding blocks near the hotel got a little sketchy at night, but not so much that I was uncomfortable to walk-- but I was accosted for cash and leftover dinner twice.
Really friendly staff. I love that they're flexible with check in and out times. Fees were reasonable. Nice restaurant onsite. Room was clean and the amenities were good for what I expected at this price point.
Really enjoyed the hotel staff from start to finish and the accommodations were nice and comfortable.
(Not sure I would say the same about the Tratto restaurant staff however. )
Miss that they no longer offer the wine hour.
Also - they don't do daily room service (they should let you know when you check in that you won't get daily service) Left at 930am and came back at 6:30 and had to rush to ask for fresh towels to get showered before dinner.
Price and location near Union Square is great
