Bridge over Huckles Brook Parts of the brook are frozen although the centre of the brook is still running. The temperature at the time of taking the image was -7.5 degrees.

Chibden Bottom, Ibsley Common, New Forest. Looking down into the open end of Chibden Bottom on Ibsley Common. There are many different zones of vegetation, indicating the changes in underlying soil structure and drainage. The bright green areas are young bracken, the light green swathe in the valley bottom is a valley mire.

Staff were friendly, hotel decor itself is a bit tired but the rooms have been modernised to a degree. Bed was comfy but the aircon was unbelievably loud.
