The location of the Margaritaville Hotel is great just two minutes from Times Square—and the room itself was clean.
However, there were several issues that really affected our stay. The noise level is constant and easily heard inside the room; maybe higher floors are better, but that wasn’t our experience. The rooms are extremely small, to the point where you can barely take a step comfortably.
I specifically paid extra for a city view room to surprise my wife for her birthday, but we were given a different view. When I raised this with the staff, they blamed Expedia, which was frustrating and irrelevant. I’ve been booking through Expedia for about 10 years and have never had this kind of issue before. Unfortunately, this mistake completely ruined the birthday surprise.
On top of that, the staff were not very friendly or helpful when trying to resolve the problem. Overall, despite the great location, the experience did not meet expectations especially considering the price paid.
