"I am not really sure why the reviews here so poorly match the state of the hotel. It’s run down and a more than a bit grubby. The staff are lovely and helpful and do their best to take care of you but it doesn’t really make up for the fact that the hotel needs some serious upkeep. "

"Service and friendliness of staff was exceptional. Condition of the room was great. Location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the heart of the French Quarter. It was a very welcoming hotel with plenty to do around it. One thing to note is that the bottles of water they drop in the room = only if you ask for them (I guess). I only had them on the first day and that was only because I said something. Thankfully, there is a great market right around the corner on Royal St with fair pricing....

"My fiancé and I had an amazing stay! Everyone was very nice and accommodating shout out to “Mama Lucci”. Hotel is in an amazing location! Many of the popular things to do were all walkable. Was not super excited about having housekeeping every other day however, it was never an issue if we needed more items for the room. Definitely would stay again!"

"We booked a last minute weekend stay here after our original flight was cancelled. The staff was beyond friendly and the location was wonderful.. about 2 blocks from the French Market, close enough to the action but not so close that you were up all night. We got to watch a couple parades go by (wedding, protest, and a just because parade lol) the courtyard and pool area are very cute. The building itself is older, as are most buildings in the heart of the French Quarter so the rooms were on...

"The people at the front were amazing, especially Megan and Joel. There were a few minor things like the elevator went out and the air had problems but the entire stay was perfect. Will definitely stay again if I travel to New Orleans."
