"I am not really sure why the reviews here so poorly match the state of the hotel. It’s run down and a more than a bit grubby. The staff are lovely and helpful and do their best to take care of you but it doesn’t really make up for the fact that the hotel needs some serious upkeep. "

Communication was wonderful throughout the stay, with text messages offering housekeeping service when we still had our do not disturb light selected (no hanging paper signs on the doors here!) "Stayed for our honeymoon & got to experience a portion of Mardi Gras. Firstly, the staff was awesome. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful. Being able to watch the parades from the balcony and having complementary jambalaya for the guests that night was a great touch that my husband & I were not expecting! The room was nice & clean.
