"We stayed at the Dakota Hotel for our anniversary and while the hotel itself is undeniably stylish, there were a few disappointing aspects that didn’t match the standard being presented. The interiors are beautiful and the overall atmosphere is lovely, especially for a special occasion. The room was clean and comfortable, and staff were polite and welcoming. "The hotel is really nice, the twin room we stayed in, although not as big as some, was cosy and well equipped. With a coffee machine and mini bar, a wide screen tv and a fabulous ultra modern wet room, it had everything we wanted in a hotel stay. Reception staff were very welcoming and efficient, and the bar was a small and intimate space to enjoy a drink. The only downside to our stay was the breakfast. The continental selection was brilliant with a wide choice of hot and cold drinks, cereals...

"The hotel has really gone downhill compared to our stay 2 years ago At check in room not ready No bar restaurant all closed off No cleaning in room - stayed 2 nights and just left fresh towels inside door Overall very disappointed - must be something better as Manchester was rocking!"

"The location right next to the train station was perfect after a long journey. The luggage storage was also very handy, secure and easy to use. They even had a weigh scale available for luggage which was extremely helpful before catching our next flight. "

"Rooms were clean and loved having two bathrooms for my family. Great walkability/location. Expedia address is not correct and takes you several blocks away. Also, please consider two keys. All guests must come and go at the same time. You cannot buzz people in or get in without the key & fab."

"Room and amenities are quite basic - it's a 4 star hotel but does not have that feel in the room at all. It has a student hall feel, which is not what is advertised. The bar area is nice enough."

"The breakfast was buffet which I found excellent. My Wife who has coeliac disease was catered for extremely well by all staff who explained not only what was at the Buffet but also what could be provided by kitchen due to her condition "

"Clean room liked the idea of two duvets on the bed, all the staff we came in contact with were extremely polite. Good breakfast plenty of choices, I requested veggie/vegan sausage and it was we're freshly cooked for me. Unlimited teas and coffee available during the stay. Would definitely stay again. "
