"We enjoyed a quiet weekend in the Lake District in the Castle Inn conveniently located near Keswick. The hotel is comfortable and in the late stage of being upgraded; this was happening in the background and did not impact nor disturb. I did feel the staff were a bit thin on the ground; however, they could not have been more friendly or helpful, they really made us feel welcome. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay."

"We had a great 6 day stay at the Damson Dene. All the staff are super friendly. Had a couple of SPA treatments with Sharon, they were amazing and so reasonable priced. The food in the hotel was superb. The breakfast was plentiful and the evening meals were delicious. The only issue we had was with housekeeping. "We had a lovely one night stay. We were warmly greeted and our room was spacious, up quite a few stairs so beware if you have heavy cases. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and used the hot tub. A well equipped gym was also available. The pool was very clean and a pleasant temperature. These facilities were all included in the room price but there is a limited timetable when you can use the pool due to lesson and member sessions. We ate dinner at the hotel which was very tasty and well presented....
