We stayed for New Year’s Eve and the staff couldn’t be more friendly and attentive! The hotel is gorgeous and the views of the lake are lovely. It’s a little bit out of the way but it’s worth it for a lovely stay. The breakfast was also really good!
The hotel went above and beyond to make our stay special. Beautiful hotel, excellent staff and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you!

The room was perfect for our family of 5, offering plenty of space. The location itself is wonderful and we had a lovely meal! Thank you for having us!
We stayed five nights at this lovely hotel. Our lake view room was large and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Including a small fridge with bottled water replaced each day. Comfortable bed and great linen. Two comfortable chairs and a table in front of the window made it a great place to relax for a while with a cup of tea. The staff were friendly and efficient. Always a welcome when we returned from a day out. We had one evening meal in the restaurant and two in Ruskins and the food was tasty and well prepared. Also had lunch in the conservatory one day, a good sharing ploughman’s. Breakfast was really good, with lots of choice and hot dishes freshly prepared. We didn’t get to use the spa but it looked very good.
So convenient for the lake cruises, it was lovely to be able to have a day out without the car exploring the lake and towns.
Great setting for visiting the Predator Centre, we had seen about it on the hotel website and booked a walking with wolves experience.
Also just down the road from Beatrix Potters house.
Great pool area with changing room being refurbished as we were there. Friendly helpful staff. Great location and food. Love the breakfast options like smoked salmon and haddock.
