"A most amazing property! Breakfast was 5 star...latte, bacon, eggs, fruit, baked goods. I loved the tech room, curtains and blinds up/down with a button, lots of choices on tv, and freebies if you need: sewing kit, razor, tooth care, etc! The staff were so helpful and could answer all questions. Will be back!!!"

"The location of this hotel is great. Great mexican food, burger joint, liquor store, lounge and a coffee roaster within a block or literally next door. The renovated rooms are good, I'd say they are only good for sleeping in and having a wash. The black paint and blackout curtains can make you sleep in especially with great bed and pillows. The layout isn't really one to hangout in. There isn't a dining table but you do get a super long counter top and just one chair. I'd say go out if you...

"The Proper is such an eclectic hotel. We were greeted by Manny at the front desk upon our arrival. Anything that we needed, the staff made accessible. We also loved Cara Cara Rooftop restaurant! "

"Valet guys were very nice, so was the woman who I checked out with. The room had a funny smell and everything in the hotel seemed pretty basic and nothing special. Surprisingly wasn’t too noisy for being in DTLA but there were a few homeless outside and rummaging through the garbage. Just a step up from a Motel 6 with a better location. Breakfast sucked and portions were small, wasn’t worth the money even with my 20% off discount. Probably wouldn’t go back."

"The hotel is centrally located. Which is nice and convenient. The rooms were small which I was surprised given the amount of money I paid and how big the hotel really is. One of the things I DO NOT recommend is bell services. When I arrived it took bell services more than hour to get my luggage’s to my room. During check out it was the same issue. I had to call like 3 times to see if someone was coming. The third time I was told that the bell person had come and knock on my door and no one...

"There is property fee of $28 USD + Tax per day. It doesn’t mention on their Expedia page. Room has no coffee/tea and no room service. Restaurants onsite rarely open! Compared to other Freehand locations, this LA location is BAD! Staff was very friendly thou!"
