The rooms are in good condition and well decorated. The size varies, and we started in a smaller room and then upgraded to a larger room, which made a big difference. The staff is genuinely helpful. The downside is there is some noise at the hotel--we were initially on the second floor and could hear the restaurant below us (particularly the music), so we asked to be move to a different floor. The new room got us away from the restaurant noise, but exposed us to traffic noise and other noises from outside the hotel.
We had a reason to be in downtown LA, which made the hotel convenient. Otherwise, I would not stay in downtown LA as the area leaves a lot to be desired.
