"Very nice property in a convenient location. It is, however, near many nightclubs and the parties went on until 6 AM all four nights of our stay. While the noise did not keep us up (we were on the 6th floor), it was certainly noticeable. But otherwise a great place to stay and that didn’t really detract from our visit."

"I've read all the reviews, and I'm baffled by any negative responses. This hotel exceeded our expectations. We're a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) and we booked the family quad (7th floor room) which was simply amazing. 2 bathrooms, sitting area and plenty of room- this was a big room even by American standards. Plenty of amenities: waters daily, sleep tablets, toothbrushes, brushes, pajamas to wear, coffee/soda in the basement, pour over drip coffee and kettle in the room. I just can't think of anything to complain about. I see what people have said about it being a bit far from things, as it was maybe a 15 minute walk to Nishiki Market or Gion district, but that was never a problem for us. The train stop was 200 meters away from the hotel entrance. The convenience stores were right below us. The staff brought us cappuccinos as we checked in. And the sweet hotel gym had a full set of free weights, 2 bikes, a few treadmills and other equipment. It was nicer than many American gyms. Again- nothing to complain about here! Beautiful hotel. "

"We stayed in Japan for two weeks, and this was by far the best hotel of our trip. The staff went above and beyond. They exceeded every expectation we had. From the warm welcome at check-in to the thoughtful tips about luggage transfers, every interaction felt genuine and caring. I wish we had caught the name of the staff member who checked us in. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and made us feel right at home. Another thoughtful touch was the complimentary bottled water available at the front desk upon request. This is something no other hotel we stayed at offered. On top of that, the front desk staff consistently greeted us with warm smiles every time we returned to the property. It truly reflected the best customer service we experienced in Japan. The onsen was another highlight of this property. It is tattoo-friendly, spotless, and serene. It was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of exploring. You can even check how busy it is right from your hotel TV. To top it all off, the hotel’s location couldn’t be better. It is just minutes from Kawaramachi Square where you're surrounded by endless shopping and dining options. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto."
