The rooms are modern and have really good size. I found the location of the hotel a little bit strange, not the niciest area of the town although it was close to the main point of interests. The reception was available just on part of the day and they didnt clean the room daily, it was charged if you wish. Also, the hotel didnt offer breakfast and it was tricky found a place close early in the morning as the places open mainly after 8:30am.
This was my favorite of all of the hotels we stayed at in Japan. The neighborhood is really neat and easy to navigate, with a lot of great little shops and restaurants. There is a nightlife around as well, but the bars and clubs are very good at keeping the noise contained so the neighborhood is respectably quiet. Everyone in Gion is friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and modern, and the space of the rooms was really nice. If we come back to Kyoto we would stay at this same hotel again and will advise friends to do so as well.
The room was very luxurious, location was good. The key card for my room had the hotel address and a label of my room number on it. This is problematic because if I lost it, or if someone targeted a guest, they get access to a guest room. In other properties it is poor practice for the checkin staff to even speak the room number out loud, so having a keycard with the location and room number is a neon sign of inevitable bad luck.
Very nice, practical and spacious hotel room, conveniently located in a cozy Gion street. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there is an abundance of places to eat in the area.
Clean rooms, great quality linen, the young lady at reception this morning was very helpful and called a taxi for me- even went out to the taxi driver to give him the direction.
Rooms large with (sofa available) coffee maker and small fridge. No micro wave!
Location good to main tourist area easily walkable. Lots of local food eateries around.
