"Great guest care from start to finish"

"The room was fairly basic, minimalist! There were no spare blankets available but the room had heat available in the hotel. The restaurant ordering was all by QR code - no cash. The food was good. The outer corridors was noisy until 9.45pm with small children running up and down and yelling unsupervised. I didn’t report it hoping the parents would act like parents!"

"The staff was incredibly helpful and patient with us. Never having been in Southhampton, or much in the UK, we were a little high maintenance. Thank you all. You made it easy."

"Very friendly and accommodating staff. Recently refurbished bar, restaurant and rooms. Most powerful shower I’ve ever had! I had a lovely Sunday Roast whilst there too."

"Excellent bed and breakfast, host was very friendly and helpful, room and amenities were excellent and attention to detail was fantastic. Close to the train station and on site parking. Would definitely stay again."

"A lot of design flair has been put into The Kings Head interiors. Very comfortable. The choice of breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we enjoyed there. The staff were very helpful as was their manager Tahir. The Kings Head is on the bus route into Winchester with a bus stop right outside. Very convenient for visiting the city. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again."

"A lot of noise from people walking in and out, and kids screaming early in the morning. That’s not the hotel’s fault. But some sound isolation would be nice. The room was nice enough, nothing extra there. Bathroom door didn’t close properly. Bed was okay, but not the best. "

"OK pub/hotel - charming setting and building and great shower/bathroom. Wifi also fine. But my room was very small - barely enough room to walk around a single bed (and this for £110/night), bed was very uncomfortable and reception was never manned (I had to go and find staff 3 times). At 30% less price this would be fine, but at the price I paid I would not recommend."

"Beautiful and comfortable room and bathroom. Very well equipped and exceptional provisions. Excellent breakfast. Great evening meal. Limited motorbike parking (lethal gravel) but found a spot on entrance paths."

"Helpful staff, very clean. A bit further from town center but on great bus stop routes. Would stay again but know that there was low water pressure and no refrigerator."

"The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable but there was a loud party and celebration going on late into the night The carpet was super dirty with numerous stains all over. The bathroom had a leak and the carpet around the bathroom was soaking wet. I messaged the host about the issue upon checking in and they responded acknowledging the issue - but the plumber never came to fix the issue."
