The room was clean and nicely decorated. The sofa bed needs a new mattress as you can feel the springs digging in when you lay on the bed. Staff were friendly and helpful although there was a mix up over the cost of breakfast for children as we were told, ahead of our stay, that under 12’s were half price but aren’t. The bathroom could be revamped to give more space whilst standing in the bath showering - it’s far too small plus having a broken shower bracket resulted in water spraying everywhere when it was in use. As there is no window in the bathroom, it would also benefit from a better extractor fan with a better pull rate to take away the steam. Away from this, it was great for a couple of nights and overall represents fair value.

We picked this place at random online, coming in from a 10 day cruise to Southampton. Booking online sight unseen is always a gamble, but this time we hit the jackpot. Totally charming English countryside inn, fantastic food, stunning rooms, very comfy pub, and amazing staff. I'd be remiss if I didn't single out Kate and Tahir, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

A lot of design flair has been put into The Kings Head interiors. Very comfortable. The choice of breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we enjoyed there. The staff were very helpful as was their manager Tahir. The Kings Head is on the bus route into Winchester with a bus stop right outside. Very convenient for visiting the city. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again.

Staff are very welcoming, friendly, helpful, and attentive. Excellent menu choices and good value. The Kings Head is well situated for exploring Hampshire via public transport and/or car and seems to be a bit of a hub for local residents. The room along with the rest of the hotel is decorated to a good level to make our weekend stay comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, perfectly located and ideal for exploring the area.bus stop just across the road. From the moment we arrived, the staff were professional, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made a great first impression. Our room felt luxurious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Bed was huge and soo comfortable! The bathroom was equally impressive, with high-quality products that added a really thoughtful touch. Breakfast was excellent, with a generous continental buffet as well as a menu offering freshly cooked hot options. The lady serving breakfast was so helpful, warm and friendly - lovely lady. In the evening, we dined in the snug area, where there was plenty of choice and everything we ordered was delicious. Overall, a fantastic stay and somewhere we would happily return to and highly recommend!

The hotel, pub was absolutely perfect. The staff were excellent especially Tarik excuse me if not spelt correctly. All staff were extremely attentive. Room was so cozy, a little in the warm side but we didn’t see the thermostat as slightly hidden. We ate at the pub on Friday, food, drinks all excellent. Breakfast was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back.

Great little getaway. We stayed overnight, and had dinner in the restaurant. The food was great, and the staff were fantastic. Close to Winchester, but far enough to have a real countryside vibe!

The staff were exceptional, and went above and beyond to look after us. Our room was above the bar and kitchen which was very noisy and hot. They moved us to a quieter room for our next night immediately. The food and atmosphere was great. I would recommend to others to stay there. A special mention to Sam!
