"Room was nice and clean and very spacious. The apartment we had the lounge air con worked though the main bedroom turned on though didn’t have cold air and the spare room had no air con. Though the apartment was massive and very comfortable "

"We stayed in a standard king room 1 night and then the executive room for 3 nights. We had to check out and check back in. The stansard room was nice but small. Neither rooms had a dining area. When checking into second room they never moved the bags and the concierge was not very informative. The air con didn't work so after wasting about 4 hours had to move rooms. "Old and very tired, in need of refurbishment. Three main things define a quality room - Plumbing, Pillows and Aircon, FAIL on all 3. You can hear other people's plumbing running. The pillows are thin cheap ones probably bought from Coles and the aircon was ineffective. Had to set it to 17C and flat out to even get the room down to a temperature where I wasn't sweating. Hardly slept and won't ever stay here again!"

"The Darling is a beautiful and luxurious hotel. We had a wonderful experience here that began with the lovely lady at check in who was so nice, polite. friendly and extremely helpful. We were celebrating my husband's 60th Birthday and had booked a beautiful Stellar Suite for 2 nights. "Having stayed at Star many times and enjoyed it every time this place was very poor. Staff were food, rooms very small with cheap furniture. I would never consider going back."

"The motel is very rundown and over priced. The windows rattled all night. The Stairs up to our room look like they are ready to collapse. The room smelt like spices. The pictures on the website are very creative photography. Plaster wall patches behind every bed and the carpet is very old and dirty. We felt like leaving straight away. We are so disappointed with the accommodation as a family of five ( 2 adults and 3 children). I took pictures of everything."

"Ac kept going automatically from 21 to 29. Bin had not been emptied. Could not get Wifi or any TV. TV was on the floor so would have been hard to see if it worked. Bed was on wheels and kept moving around. Rang the office at 6pm on the Friday in relation to TV & Wifi but she said we would have to wait until 10am the next day to get any assistance. I asked for another room but she said there were no rooms available. We eventually got offered another room at 12pm on Saturday."

"Place is a wonderful place to stay and will stay again. Only downside was no facecloths in rooms, also lacking amenities in kitchen. All the small utensils but no pots, fry pans etc and only one lot of dishwasher power and small amount of dishsoap. Also would be great if small amount of salt and petter supplied for guest use. Overseas travllers end up having to buy stuff to throw away which is not sustainable for the environment. "
