Whether it’s exciting history, shopping or entertaining nightlife you are after, Hull has it all. The city has reinvented itself in recent years with attractions and a lively social scene making it a popular travel destination within East Yorkshire.
We visited the Ferens Art Gallery (free admission) which was worth a look. We saw a couple of bands at The Welly (20 mins walk away) The Atom brew pub on Princes Avenue has very nice beers and food (10 min walk). Marrakech also good.

Hull has a lot to offer a visitor to the city. The old town, marina, minster and the Trinity market and old fruit market are all worth a visit. A returning Hullensian ,I was saddened to see many deserted buildings in disrepair replaced by new centre.

Hull is decent, lots of things to do and many friendly people. Never scared to ask anyone if I needed directions. Drinks are cheap and food is good. No complaints

Lots of redevelopment happening in the city. Overall was pleasantly surprised by the city.
"Great staff including the Manager.
She checked to make sure there was safe food for me to eat at dinner & breakfast - the extra mile made me feel safe. "
"I booked the Maze Apartments because it was so close to the venue for the Campfire Country Music Festival and it was spot on. Being only 5 mins walk to the park was great!
When we arrived we got a parking spot in the car park under the Apartments and it was FREE! The lady on reception was nice and friendly and advised us we had been given an upgrade!!
The room was great. Large, spacious with all the amenities you could need. The bathroom was small but clean with a shower, basin and toilet.
The only issue was the fitted sheet on the bed lol.
Would definitely recommend plus the price was fantastic!! "
