"The city view is amazing and vast. I watched the sunrise from my room. The windows are the entire wall. The river side is more interesting at night, I tried both. The massage place in the alley next to hotel is wonderful. There is a lot of local food places in the neighborhood, more authentic than the hotel restaurant. I love all the hand painted details, color palette and decor of the hotel. "

"Really disappointed with front desk staff. We spent $3000 at this hotel over three days and the staff refused to honor a $15 hotel credit that came with our reservation. Generally good stay overall, but staff should never leave guests feeling unhappy on checkout like this. We travel to Bangkok at least 4-5 per year but will certainly not be returning here!"

"Fantastic stay, lovely rooms and great service. We stayed in the Kreungthep wing which is a loooonnng walk from the shangri la wing main lobby but much closer to BtS and boat shuttles. Also it has its own pool and taxis come to that entrance also. One of my favourite places to stay in all of bangkok for convenience and service. Cant beat the location"

"Staff was pleasant. Excellent actually. View from the Jacuzzi suite 403 was incredible. Watching the lighted barges go up and down the river with illuminated Wat Arun in the background all from the jacuzzi was incredible. Comfortable bed. Came in a taxi so unsure about parking. But food at rooftop place was excellent Asian Fusion. Great Somtam as you walk out and take a left at the 7/11. Excellent location to sites. Wat Po. Grand Palace. Wat Arun. Will stay again. "

"My wife Lisa and I recently stayed at The Peninsula Bangkok while celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary, and it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences we have ever had anywhere in the world. The hotel went out of its way to make the occasion special. During the Peninsula’s sunset cocktail cruise on the Chao Phraya River, we were surprised with a beautiful anniversary cake. When we returned to our suite later that evening, we found another extraordinary surprise waiting for us — an additional cake, roses, heart balloons, and a beautiful card created using a photograph we had shared with the hotel. It was incredibly thoughtful and deeply touching. Beyond that, the entire stay was flawless. Our suite was elegant and comfortable, and every member of the staff—from the front desk to the river boat team—was warm, polished, and genuinely welcoming.
