"On arrival Monday 4.30pm, this is a really lovely property, clean & tidy, parking not a big issue, quiet street, but the property was freezing cold, heating thermostat set at OFF, boiler was on. Boiler water very low topped up nothing. Hottub cold was 29°. We went through welcome pack no owner details, no heating details, hottub details 3 pages of, do's & don't's, main detail for hottub was DONT TOUCH TEMP BUTTONS. "Absolutely lovely stay at The Lister Arms. Staff are amazing and the reason it's so good. They are helpful and friendly. The only very small downside is the cost. A little overpriced but otherwise beautiful. Couldn't really fault anything at all. The food was to die for."

"Great communication from the owner prior to arrival with details of local places to visit and eat. Lovely welcome on arrival. Room was clean, comfortable and very spacious and the surroundings were beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic. Will definitely return and would highly recommend."

"Lovely old building with original 17th century fireplace. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. Rooms were clean although basic."

"Very clean property, great pub with a fantastic breakfast."

"There weren't shops or much nearby. But i think the purpose of this lodge is that you get to see the countryside and visit the 3 peaks Yorkshire as it's the closet by 27 mins drive. Plus it got a bath tub which is needed after a long hike."

"Friendly staff. Great meal. Good location. Definately stay here again."

"The room was immaculate, staff were lovely and friendly and so helpful. The food was hot tasty and such good value for money. Will absolutely be back. Thank you for making us so welcome"

"Location..it has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. ( need a car) Rooms are very comfortable, tea /kettle etc. Stairs are a little steep. staff are lovely ,had a very pleasant stay.
