We had a very relaxing stay which is just what we needed… We had a meal the first night which was lovely….we did find the drinks at the bar a little on the expensive side compared to other places we had called into in Grassington

Nice pub in a pretty village with small but well maintained rooms. The entire hotel is dog friendly. Worth noting is that parking is in a village car park on the edge of Grassington and there are firm times for check in (1530 onwards) and breakfast (0900-1000).

Great place in the Dales

We stayed in Grassington for a few days and the Black Horse is an excellent place to stay. You can’t beat the location and the breakfast was always a delight. We hope to return.

A comfortable hotel, set to a high standard (and very welcoming to dogs). Good bar and separate restaurant serving a wide range of food and drink. Clearly popular with locals too. Highly recommended. Only sight issue for us was flight of stairs was a little difficult for our older dog.

Good quality

Good quality hotel for a short stay in Dales. Dinner was good. Lively bar. Great location but parking difficult especially on a Sunday with a Farmers market (not every Sunday). Great for fans of current All Creatures Great and Small tv series.

Excellent Grassington hotel

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The warmest of welcomes sets you up for the stay. Delicious food in evening and a first class breakfast. Bed so comfortable. Room more than decent. No complaints whatsoever! Grassington is a beautiful peaceful and relaxing.

Our room was very small for our needs however the staff were very accommodating to us and extremely understanding and helpful,the manager was fabulous. Breakfast room is lovely and is very spacious with delicious food.

A quaint little inn in the most adorable quaint little town I saw on my trip to England. The staff was super friendly and the rooms were sparkling clean. The location was perfect, right near all the little shops and the town square. A very laid back feel to the hotel, restaurant and bar, and for that matter the whole town. All the hotels and bars, and even most of the restaurants in this town allow dogs in them. The dogs we saw were so well behaved, but I'm not a dog person and the smell bothered me some. But at least our rooms (3) were odor free and very clean and cozy. I highly recommend staying here.

Fabulous hotel

Lovely hotel in gorgeous village of Grassington. Cannot recommend The Black Horse highly enough. Rooms are spacious, clean with lovely bed linen, beds are really comfortable. Lovely thick white towels. Rooms exceptionally clean. Breakfast at the hotel top notch. Staff are attentive without being intrusive. Booked an evening meal at the hotel, which was lovely. Booked to stay again in December.

good place for walking in Dales, recommend

looked after our bags whilst we went walking having arrived on the local bus around noon. some confusion regarding booking/table reservation which got sorted out quickly. narrow stairs to rooms, difficult with heavy bags, however room nice with comfortable beds and large bathroom with tub #8 - quiet inside & out, great choice of handpump beers, reasonable prices, best meal of six day trip in their restaurant- thoroughly recommended

Historic Cosy Inn

My husband and I had a nice stay in this historical old inn right off of the town square in Grassington. Due to its age, the rooms were quite small, but modernized and cosy. My only complaint is that we had booked a room with king bed (which some rooms did have), but our bed was definitely not a king. Other than that, the stay was fine. The pub/restaurant downstairs was very nice. The staff was lovely, if a bit busy. I am happy to recommend this inn as a good place to stay in Grassington. (Oh, there is no on-site parking, but we found parking right up the hill behind the Town Hall.)
