"Jardín Entre Montañas was one of our most memorable stays in Costa Rica. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can feel the care and pride they have put into everything. "I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. And don't forget about breakfast. Everyday, we had homemade to order...

"The property needs to be advertised better . What’s in the photos is not the room I received. The ac is not on and takes a while to cool the bedroom as that’s the only room with ac . The water pressure is not good at all . I couldn’t get my long hair rinsed out . The items included on the welcome package were not included . They only serve pizza at the restaurant at the establishment. My room was not cleaned and I stayed 4 days . Left for breakfast daily and no bed made or garbage removed ."

"Große Ferienhaus in mitten der Natur, ca 10 km nördlich von Guayabo mit sehr guter Ausstattung. Was gar nicht funktioniert hat, war die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter, dadurch über eine Stunde Verspätung beim Einchecken gehabt."

"Nice small property with buildings spread around. Rooms 1-4 are in one building, but the rest looked individual. Clean, comfortable room. Bench outside on porch for seating. Dinner and breakfast were good with lots of options, and good beer selection for a small place. Very convenient to National park entrance for blue river hike."
