"Room was average for the price paid but overall looked tired. Very old pub and traditional rooms but that’s no reason to ignore mould and damage to the bathroom and paint flaking off the walls. Light fitting was hanging off by exposed wires. In the evenings the pub downstairs is busy with a lot of noise heard upstairs until about midnight. "

"The location is the big selling point; views over the lake are exceptional. The menu has a good choice, but doesn't vary from day-to-day. That could become an issue for a longer stay, but if it looks good on the menu, it will be good when it's served. The location sold it, but the staff made the trip exceptional. "I can’t say how amazing our stay was from the moment we were greeted at the gate everyone was great. The room was perfect dinner was great enjoyed the spa and the pub. I would highly recommend you to stay here."

"We had a comfortable stay, food ok but nothing special, found the hour slot for breakfast 8.30-9.30am odd, most hotels have better times, especially when you are on holiday you don't want to be looking at your watch all the time, breakfast was buffet cereal, toast, yoghurt and juices, with a cooked breakfast to order, unfortunately a couple of mornings had to ask for bread, bowls, juice as not kept stocked up, only one member of staff serving breakfast. "We thoroughly enjoyed our recent two night stay at the Lindeth Howe Hotel. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so welcoming and professional. Breakfast was delicious, such a good spread and the staff overseeing breakfast make sure everyone is well looked after. I can't recommend Lindeth Howe enough."

"Beyond disappointed. My original room was very dirty and the walls were all scuffed up. I complained and a nice gentlemen gave me 10% for one night and moved me to a “renovated” room. The hotel needs a ton of upgrades and cleaning. It is very dated and also under renovation. They are also severely understaffed and while the staff were all nice, their stress could be felt from not having enough help. They also do not even provide daily housekeeping unless you ask. "My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and lovely, the staff were friendly and kind, and the breakfast was very filling and delicious. Also, the hotel has spacious parking, and it is not too far from Windermere station, the lake, or many restaurants and shops. Each is about a 10-15-minute walk away.
