The apartments are in a good location and have great potential, but the way they have been maintained and the external noise spoiled our experience (even with ear plugs, as suggested by the company).
The building is beautiful with rooms which have a grand appearance, double height ceiling and a mezzanine for children’s beds to provide some privacy, had they been better apportioned it would have been the perfect stay. The main attractions are all within 5-10mins walk so great to get around.
A few thoughts on the room, it was large spacious and well laid out, but the beds were old and poorly looked after, the master bed mattress was broken and should have been changed. The fridge didn’t work, didn’t keep anything cool, The safe was not fixed down so could be taken from the room. Although the room was clean on arrival we were informed it would not be cleaned unless expressly requested, this was ok for our short stay but we asked for the bins to be changed and this was not done. The staff running the rooms were friendly but appeared too busy to help out much, although there were coffee and tea making facilities we had to request a spoon as extra, as none were provided as a basic.
The nighttime noise was more than expected with people partying throughout the night so unless you are ready to join the party this room may not be for you.
