I recently revisited this property after nearly 20 years, hoping to relive the wonderful experience I had back in 2005. That earlier stay left such a positive impression that I looked forward to returning with my family, including my two teenage sons. Unfortunately, what we encountered this time was far from what I remembered, and the overall experience was deeply disappointing. We had booked two rooms, expecting a comfortable and welcoming stay. Instead, we were met with a host of issues that should not be acceptable at any reputable property. Both rooms had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it difficult to relax. It was immediately clear that proper housekeeping and maintenance standards were not being followed. The bathrooms were not clean, and shockingly, neither room had basic toiletries—not even soap in the showers. The situation only got worse when we went for breakfast. The offerings were extremely limited and of poor quality, and there was a complete lack of hospitality from the staff. No one was available to answer questions or assist guests. Even asking for a cup of coffee seemed too much to ask—staff members stayed hidden in the kitchen and avoided any interaction with guests. There was no sense of service, care, or accountability. What makes this especially frustrating is the contrast with my previous visit. It’s sad to see how much the property has declined. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience.
