"Lovely old hotel with beautiful rooms in a pretty area. Good cooked breakfasts but limited continental choice. Our room wasn't serviced despite asking twice for this to happen. Maybe staff shortage? Service needs a little more atrention to detail and more management supervision e.g. no orange juice avaliable one morning as it wasn't refilled, given a broken coffee cafetiere on both mornings, as the room wasn't serviced we had an unmade bed, full litter bins and had to ask for milk etc to.be...

"Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was beautiful and (when I was there) very quiet. There's also a small sauna and steam room, and a tiny (but perfectly formed) gym, Excellent breakfast selection, and again staff very helpful, even with late arriving guests. "Everything was great, two very minor things. The radiator in the bathroom was emitting more heat than a nuclear power ststion, could do with truning down a tad. Was actually to hot to stay in the bathroom with the door closed. And the broadband was very slow. But in the grand scheme of things, nothing to worry about."

"We stayed here in the Tudor 4 poster room. While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. It was a great place to stay after a 5,000 mile trip from the Western US and recover from jet lag before going on to meet friends and family elsewhere in the UK. (It’s about a hour from Heathrow).
