I’m really disappointed to be writing this, especially because I’ve stayed at this hotel before with my friends and had a great experience. That positive visit is exactly why I recommended it to my husband and why we decided to come back. Unfortunately, this stay was nothing like my previous one.
When we arrived, the air conditioning and the toilet radiator in our room were not working. We reported it to reception, and the staff member said he would “check the control” and asked us to give it time to heat up. We waited almost three hours with no improvement. A maintenance person was eventually sent, but he couldn’t fix it either.
We asked to change rooms, and both the manager and the receptionist assured us that the new room would be the same size with the same view. This was not true. The new room was noticeably smaller, including the bathroom, and the view was of bins and a car garage. They also told us the air conditioning and toilet radiator were working, but the toilet radiator did not work at all during the night or the next morning. The bathroom was freezing, and our belongings were damp.
On top of that, we couldn’t sleep because the couple in the room next to us were extremely loud from around 9:30 pm until 4:30 am. Between the cold room, the broken facilities, and the noise, it was impossible to rest.
The only positive part of our stay was the spa facilities, which are genuinely good and enjoyable, just as I remembered from my previous visit.
