"Lovely hotel. We were met by the friendly owner Greg when we arrived and shown to a lovely room with great views over the hills. The whole hotel (a former large house) is beautifully decorated in keeping with the house, and has well kept gardens for sunny days. Very close to the town centre but quiet. Breakfast was delicious and very well presented. Highly recommended all round."
"What a wonderful place to stay. Paul and Dean make you feel like you are visiting their home and do everything they can to spoil you.
Besides the fact that the location is beautiful, they also deliver quality in what they serve at breakfast and, if desired, dinner. Pitlochry itself is too touristy for us, but Birchwood is a reason to come back!"
"The room and ensuite were fine - comfy bed, good view from room 3. We didn't use the small bar but it looked very snug. The restaurant serves Indin food, which was not on our agenda that night, but the breakfast was good, from the same room with good airy views. Staff were excellent and helpful."
"Beautiful hotel and gardens with a bar and restaurant on-site. We had a lovely time wandering the grounds with a cocktail and even felt a bit like royalty. A breakfast buffet was included and had great options. The rooms are a little older and dated - it was hot in the room - because I don’t think we had a/c - but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. (Make sure you check out the hotel museum in the basement - it’s really interesting!"
