"The food was excellent and the potions enormous. It was rather remote so you needed a car to visit Durham. The park and ride (Belmont) was excellent but you will need sat nav to find it.Uber was £19 to Durham. Most of the staff very friendly a couple not so but didn’t spoil our stay"

"The hotel is well positioned and presented, occupying a strategic location overlooking the town. The room occupied was on par for the standard of the hotel, albeit the slope of the floor in the shower made you feel as though you might tumble out of the shower. The restaurant felt somewhat cramped with tables sited at both ground level and on raised platforms, which gave the impression of either looking down on other diners or being watched. "Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel."

"We stayed for one night as a stopover on the way North and were very happy that we picked this Inn. The room was quite basic but perfectly adequate for our needs and in line with the price point. We had an evening meal in the bar area which was very good with generous portions and we were served by a lovely young lady who was very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was nothing short of excellent with good quality ingredients, perfectly prepared."

"Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling."
