"This hotel was in a good location and our room was huge! Tons of space AND the kitchen! We also had huge windows that allowed for a bunch of light and I loved the beautiful smelling lotion! I'd recommend staying here if you want to spread out and be comfortable, but also be close enough to the pier/downtown to walk if you didn't have a car."

"Our room overlooked the Riverwalk. The view was amazing. The fresh, crisp linens and comfortable bed were greatly appreciated after long days of walking and sightseeing. Members of the hotel staff were very helpful, whether providing directions or supplying fresh towels. They were kind and courteous and made us feel welcomed. The location of the River Hotel could not be more convenient, as it is in the heart of the city, making it easy to get to bus lines and trains. I would highly recommend River Hotel for your next visit to Chicago."

"If you’re looking to practice living in a tiny home before making the commitment, this hotel room is a great place to start. The room was surprisingly small for the price, and the “twin” beds felt like they were designed for very skinny twins. We arrived on a Sunday night and quickly discovered that finding food nearby was going to be more challenging than finding extra floor space in the room. Unless you’re a fan of vending machine cuisine, plan ahead. The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant, but between the premium price tag, miniature room, and beds that felt more like upgraded camp cots, the overall value just wasn’t there for us."

"The front desk personnel were amazing ! Professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. My special request (I am 72 years old so I requested a lower bunk) was on file and provided. One of the other ladies in my room called about a ceiling tile that had fallen out and was lying on the floor. Maintenance was there within 30 minutes! It was a fantastic experience."
