Hotels near Chidori Canal Viewpoint

"For a 3-day stopover in Japan, this was an ideal location. After exiting customs at Haneda Terminal 3, it is about a 10 minute indoor walk to the hotel. Also in the vicinity of this indoor area are turnstiles to the trains, as well as access to shuttle buses to various places. We arrived late so the Lawsons near the hotel entrance was perfect to grab food and snacks to take back to the room. If you arrive between 11 am and 8 pm, there are many restaurant choices indoors by the hotel as well. There is a self-service, automated laundry room at the same floor as the lobby. You could drop off and leave your clothes there, and monitor the progress on your hotel room tv. One of the days during our stay was rainy, and the hotel had umbrellas you could borrow for free at the Cloak section. It was very useful and convenient. The staff was also very helpful and pleasant. We had a great stay here. Just for additional information, we flew into Terminal 3 at Haneda, but departed from Terminal 2 when our stay ended. To get to T2, you have to walk with your luggage (carts are available at the lobby) back towards T3, take an elevator down, and walk to the appropriate bay for the shuttle bus to T2. Having 2 heavy suitcases, a carry-on and a personal item was difficult, especially because the shuttle bus did not have an undercarriage compartment to load them into. You take them inside the bus with you. Space could be an issue as well. "

"We picked this hotel for it's reasonable price and location near the airport. Check-in was at a self-service kiosk (unless you were a member), but there was a nice clerk that helped us through the screens. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, with a nice Japanese-style tub. We had a quad room, which was two double beds pushed together (that's the only way they would fit in the small room). The room had a small refrigerator and a tea kettle, which was a nice surprise. The hotel had a 24-hour soda and coffee machine in their lounge, along with a microwave and some utensils. They advertised that they had "bread" for breakfast starting at 5:30 a.m., which would last until their supplies ran out. The bread turned out to be plastic wrapped small pastries. Good if you just need some last minute calories before you dash off to better food at the airport, but nothing to rely on. There are several konbini and ramen shops with a 2-block radius. The best part of this hotel was their free airport shuttle. That took the stress of jumping on one more crowded train away. (Word to the wise - there is a very nice walking/biking path that brings you from the hotel directly to the door of every terminal in the airport, but do yourself a favor and take the shuttle instead of dragging your luggage on a 35-minute walk. If you're looking for a walk, choose the riverside path instead)."
