It was a wise decision to stay at this hotel when I landed in Tokyo because after arriving in the evening and being in line for immigration and customs for two hours, I being a first-time solo traveler, don't think I would've had the stamina and alertness to find a hotel in downtown Tokyo. I wanted a fresh start the next morning. I told the staff of my food allergy and they brought out a list of all the dishes in their breakfast buffet that contained my allergen. The room was very clean and efficient. The bed was comfortable. My only complaint is people weren't obeying the non-smoking rule in their rooms, so I could smell cigarette smoke wafting into my room from the vents. The next morning, I ate at the breakfast buffet which was both Japanese and Western. It was probably one of the best tasting buffets I've experienced. Everything tasted delicious and perfectly fresh. Before, I picked out my food, the restaurant manager, took me around to all the dishes, pointing out dishes I should avoid because of my food allergy. I found this to be very thoughtful and very thankful he did that because even though I saw a list on paper, seeing the offending food physically, gave me confidence to eat and enjoy an excellent buffet breakfast. If you are traveling to Tokyo for your first time and your flight arrives in the evening, then I highly recommend staying at this hotel. It's a great place to get clean up, regroup, and have an excellent breakfast.
