"We really enjoyed our stay! The art deco decoration was tastefully done, classy and had fun details! We enjoyed the lobby fireplace for relaxing with a cocktail and the bartender was delightful! Check out their signature cocktails for sure! The bed was very comfortable and luxurious with fluffy pillows and soft sheets. We upgraded to a suite and enjoyed the added sitting room for hosting our friends and the large tub for soaking after a long day of seeing all the sights! We watched a storm roll through while cozy in bed. It was great! They even gave us a bottle of wine with the upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise! The location was perfect-easy walking to the theater and the river. We highly recommend this place!"

"The room was newly renovated and lovely! The view of the lake is a million dollar view at all times of the day! Spectacular sun rises and blue as far as you can see. The hotel is being refurbished and I trust it will be lovely when it’s done. Currently it was rundown and badly needed cleaning and maintenance. The climate control didn’t work in the room so we opened the windows to cool it off in the evening. The bar food and drinks were good and the staff was friendly. "

"Our family of 4 checked in on Thursday and checked out on Sunday. We have stayed at several hotels in Chicago, but moved the Embassy Suites. The living room has a nice pullout couch that was surprisingly comfortable. The mini fridge was nice to keep some leftovers. We didn't use the microwave, but it was nice to have. The kids loved playing at the pool and really just loved playing in the room, too. We loved the separate living room area, so the kids had their own room at night. The free breakfast was by far the best free breakfast any hotel has ever offered that we've visited. It's so worth it, since it has something for everyone. The hot food consisted of eggs, breakfast potatoes/hash browns, sausage, and pancakes/waffles/French toast on rotation. There is also a chef to cook eggs/omelet to your liking. There's cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, and probably more that I missed. The staff at the hotel were all extremely nice and helpful. The location is in a prime location near Michigan Ave and the L. We also walked to Shedd Aquarium from the hotel. It's a trek, but so nice to walk by the lake. The kids both want to stay at the Embassy Suites the next time we stay in Chicago, so it got a 5 star rating in their eyes, too! Fabulous stay!!"
