It was a nice clean room in a great location close to beach and downtown. Alva was a super hostess. Only thing that was amiss was the towels. A few were soiled, especially the beach towels. All in all, fantastic and comfortable stay.

Great little gem.

Although our stay was short it was a terrific one. We will definitely be back. Staff was super friendly and property is clean and well maintained. Allma was amazing to work with on arrangements. Lots of great little restaurants on the street and easily walkable to the downtown for any last minute items you need for the trip.

The property itself was awesome!! Staff went above and beyond. The area is full of noisy construction from about 8a-6p and beach had trash in it. But the hotel itself is a real gem!

Velas is a neat little condo, conveniently located close to downtown and right on the beach. The manager, Alba is friendly and helpful. She welcomed us to use the bikes and asked if we needed help with them in any way. We opted to not have housekeeping service during our stay, and Alba assured that we always had any house keeping conveniences such as fresh towels, soap, and toilet paper. She is an excellent host and we will stay there again.

Lovely stay

We loved the Velas Condos. We arrived very late and our hostess stayed to help us check in and get settled. The room and common spaces were very clean, and the location is great in the cute, developing area of Puerto Morelos. We only spent one night, but were interested in exploring more of the area. Our only complaint was that just the bedrooms are air conditioned, so the kitchen and family area were pretty hot. We slept well though!

we liked that the property was right near the beach. The apartment was spacious and clean. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and we got water. They also were able to give us beach chairs and an umbrella. The pool was nice for a dip. There were many restaurants and entertainment options like live music. now for the bad parts, the management needs improvement. There was not enough communication before we arrived to check in, and there was a moment of panic as I thought no one was there to give me access. Eventually, it was resolved, and the manager was very responsive and apologetic after that however, my biggest pet peeve about this place was that there was no hot water in the shower and the drain was clogged. there was really nothing anyone could do about it further the cleaning does not include making the bed, which is really strange although the kitchen and floors would be cleaned. The bed will not be made and linen’s not changed. I probably would stay here again if the price made sense but I think it’s a lovely property. It just needs some extra TLC and attention from management

The condo is well located 1 minute from the beach and walkable to many restaurants and the grocery store. We parked our car and did not use it for a full week. The condo supplied 20 L of drinkable water. It also has beach chairs, umbrella and coolers. All was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately the construction next door from 8 am to 6 pm makes it impossible to sit on the balcony or enjoy the pool. Also, the shower head and the faucet in the bathroom needs to be changed. It doesn’t flow properly. An extra mirror in the bedroom would make getting ready in the morning or evening faster. Thanks to Alba the manager who was always available via What’s App.

Would recommend but be aware. Area under construction and can have plumbing problems out of their control, even the ocean view rooms will be over looking an over grown empty lot. That said everything else was great! The area is fun and walkable, room was clean and well kept, and service was excellent and issues were dealt with quickly and easily.
