Overall, the Cancun Bay Resort is a budget-friendly hotel, but the reality is quite different from the pictures. When we arrived, the first room was dirty and things left on the bed, possibly even blood stains or makeup stains and even though we were given a free upgrade, the new room still wasn’t up to expectations. Staff repeatedly entered our room without knocking up to six times which made us feel extremely unsafe, especially with children. While it was marketed as all-inclusive, food options were limited, and not all drinks were included. On the plus side, though, even with a late flight, they let us keep using the facilities after checkout, and they stored our bags, which was really convenient. To their credit, when we reported an AC leak on the first night, maintenance did fix it quickly. So, it can work for a budget stay, but families especially should be cautious, as privacy and cleanliness were major concerns for us.
