"St Ives is a nice place, it still has a tradition, no chain, department store for goodness sake. The Golden Lion is a good base to explore from. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The bar and restaurant is nicely laid out and decorated. Breakfast was excellent. All in all, really nice. Would I stay again? Yes, most definitely."

"Allison and cliff are very friendly and great cooks. The breafull English breakfast was outstanding. The rooms and home was so comfortable. I enjoyed being a about one hour outside of london and being able to explore the countryside. Cambridge. Castles, the north sra, and many other great sites."

"The bedrooms are very comfortable. The bed very nice. A shelf in the bathroom would be useful. I would prefer different towels as I expressed while I was there. The breakfast room is charming and very nice to use. We also had a nice cooked breakfast. The cooking was very good first night not so good subsequent nights. Because I can't eat certain things my choice is limited. An expanded menu of tried and tested dishes might be better instead of daily specials that are not thought through. ...

"What a hidden gem the Black Bull Inn is. Lovely private and very comfortable accommodation. Breakfast that was included was tremendous and the two evening meals we had were so great and tasty. The super friendly and helpful staff made the stay perfect. We will certainly return when we are next visiting from Australia. "
