"Overall a good experience. We found considerably cheaper parking than the recommended B4 car park at a council car park a few minutes walk over the road by Salvation Army - just £7 for 24hrs. Staff were very welcoming on arrival & check in was quick. Our twin room was clean and spacious, I was impressed with the shower size & my son was thrilled at the TV size! Also that it was smart enabled. Location was good, less than 10mins walk to City centre for decent food & drink options. My only complaint would be that the toilet seat would not stay up in our bathroom which is inconvenient for 2 blokes sharing! We had breakfast included with our stay & there was plenty of everything despite how busy the area was. My son has a dairy allergy & was still able to eat plenty. My only complaint/ suggestion here would be to label allergens next to each item - especially as there is already a card in place to tell you the k/cals! My son ate scrambled eggs before we found out they have milk added. Thankfully it is not a severe allergy. But clearer labelling would help as requesting allergen advice in the middle of busy service took time away from the already very busy staff. Despite this, I would stay at Holiday Inn again. Decent hotel at competitive price."

"Easy online check-in made arrival quick and hassle-free, with fast service at reception. My allocated room wasn’t quite ready when I arrived, so I was kindly upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. I ended up with a spacious room and a super king-size bed all to myself. I attended a conference at the hotel, and both the service and the food were excellent throughout. The staff were professional and attentive, helping to make the experience very enjoyable. If I am ever in Birmingham again, I will definitely stay at the Clayton Hotel."
