Lower Alabama Hotels with Swimming Pool

"Hotel was nice, spacious pool, nice hot tub, but had a weird VIP roped off gazebo area. Would be nice to treat all guest as if they were equally important. The "Pool View" room are on the first floor and have a balcony that faces the pool, however sits low so you cannot see the gulf whatsoever. the room was spacious and had a small mini-fridge. But the Biggest issue we had was the mildew moldy smell in the room. after two days, you could feel it in your throat. when I checked in, I asked about the room and they said nothing else was available.Its obviously due to having carpet in a room that close to the damp humid air from the balcony. it festered the odor and was quite noxious. but no help or options were offered for this obvious issue The breakfast was good. nice choices but the pancake machine was broken. The breakfast room flow was insane and very confusing to everyone. quite chaotic often. Overall, I would rate the hotel a 4/5 but the mildew infested carpet was not worth the $315 a night gets me to a 3/5."

"We had a beautiful room, but after being up since 3 am to catch our flight, then 8 hours to kill before our room was ready we were tired. When we arrived in our room as I said it was beautiful, but there were ladies next door having fun and we were TIRED> Called front desk and they graciously changed our room, Breakfast was good, Beach was absolutely breath taking. Our view from balcony was breathtaking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay again!"

"The hotel is dated, bathrooms (tubs) need reglazing, cleaning or paint. No room service and towels only given when asked for. I’ve never stayed in a hotel for 3 days with now maid service. Breakfast was inedible. The area the hotel is in was sketchy at best. Would definitely not stay again. Staff were nice. Did make a suggestion upon leaving a doubt they’ll take so be careful. They have mats in the tubs and are very slippery. Not sure they clean underneath as ours was moldy, but I slipped and fell in the tub when the mat slid. Luckily it was me and not my elderly parents. Hurt just the same. The mats have no purpose and are dangerous. "
