We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in August, 2026 and had a beautiful lagoon view on the 5th floor in the Rainbow tower. This place is huge which means it’s way too crowded. Having to wait for an elevator to be available was the most annoying thing during busy hours. They charged us over $100 to be able to check in before the standard check in time of 4 (not cool after a 6 hour flight). The hotel room itself was just whatever. Zero bottles of water in the room (never seen that before). There usually are at least 2 complimentary ones. Luckily there are ABC stores nearby/walking distance to get what you need. Seems like they just want to take your money and give you the bare minimum. Tropics bar and grill and Lagoon grill are not good. Service isn’t either. It feels like no one is happy to work there. The only good food I had was right outside of the hotel at Goofy cafe. Our housekeeper Mary Lou was fantastic though!!! The beach is lovely and swimming in it was amazing! It is rocky so water shoes are a great option. The beach and lagoon are public. You only get 1 towel per person. When you return the towel, you get your card back. All the pools were way too crowded and didn’t look clean. There was hair in the pools all the time. I only used the pools because of my 2 year old daughter. The lagoon was pretty awesome! Hotel guests have to pay for chairs and umbrellas at the beach. Glad I stayed there due to its history, but I will NOT go back.
