"The location is perfect in Tahoe City, right across the street from The Commons. It was close to great food, drinks and bakery’s. I stayed in room 8, which was on the top floor. "House cleaning knocked st my door close to 9pm and asked if I am OK which I replied "yes". At 10:15pm guest service called and asked my name and room number. I asked him what happened as I was already in bed. He said house keeping wrongly thought I am already checked out. In this case they should check if I indeed check out, if they already know it was a mistake, why calling me late at night to tell me house keeping is wrong. They should told them directly.

"None of the below is exaggerated:
Half of the rooms had no door handles..open and looked like sqatters lived in them..stairwells blocked..pool empty full of trash.
Odd smell in room.
Room appeared clean but very very outdated 30 yrs old furniture..beds were on rolling casters and pushed around during the night. Bathroom and vanity not stoc stocked..no hand soap in either and only 1 towel. Threshold into bathroom too high, tripped and fell into the tub in the middle of the night.

"Staff was very responsive to any concerns or needs. The facilities are dated with exterior peeling paint and soil matted hall carpets. These are features and challenges of maintaining property in wintery snow environments.However this is summertime. When our room filled with smells of smoke from a nighttime possible fire, we tried to call the front desk but the phone wouldn't work. My wife went to ask at the desk. "Pluses: Staff is excellent, well maintained, valet, bell boys, front desk very attentive. I was concerned about valet only but it worked out well, didn’t have to wait too long. Pool table was great. Negative: water pressure in shower was horrible, took a long time to take a shower, pool and jacuzzi very small. Had to drive every time you needed something. No restaurant. Probably would stay again for the right price. Stayed here in summer. Could walk to a Heavenly ski lift in winter."

"The buffet was great! The room was clean when we arrived. The only issues we had was the parking is very expense $50 per night and the hotel was nice but the cost was a bit expensive. You can stay down the street at the Hilton Vacation Club and it's just as nice of a hotel as here but it's less expensive plus it's right on the lake."

"Pass on this hotel as it is under massive construction!!! Noise all day. No maid service. Our room was not very clean as we did have a newly renovated room. Only one elevator and long lines waiting to go up & down. No amenities available ie the pool or the gym and you still have to pay resort fee and no resort. And you have to pay for parking too. The hotel store was closed or open and no one to help you. Very frustrating for all the money you pay. Not worth it at all. The staff was at best...
