About Xinyi
The district of Xinyi is often believed to be the centre of Taipei and the city’s most important neighbourhood. This commercial and financial centre is home to some of the most famous landmarks in the Taiwanese capital including the world’s second-tallest building of Taipei 101. Taking a few hours to walk the Elephant Mountain Hiking Trail is highly recommended. These beautiful walking tracks are only a short distance from Taipei 101. Elephant Mountain only goes to a height of 200 metres, but this is still high enough to enjoy stellar views of Taiwan’s capital city. Elephant Mountain is one of the four beasts mountains which connect to much higher elevations farther into Nangang.
